What a year for Myerstown!
A great kickoff luncheon, a  5k, a pardoned pig at Community Day at the Pool, a 98 year old pilot takes to the skies and creates national attention to our Borough. A spectacular Myerstown 250 Night at the Reading Fightin’ Phils, and a weekend at the Park that people are still talking about.
Enough celebrating? Not a chance.
Put Saturday September 29th on your calendar.
Get yourself to the corner of Main Avenue and Railroad Streets, and prepare for another special day in the year we call Sestercentennial. That’s 250 years’ worth celebrating once again.
It’s the Myerstown 250 Community Block Party!

Hunger and thirst? Not here! Lots of food from our vendors and food trucks. And be sure and relax and mingle at the Beer Garden.
Explore your inner artist. Sign up for one the two sessions at Brushstrokes on Canvas. Sip a little wine and admire the beauty of your own art creation (with professional guidance of course)
Still with me? Good. Let’s head down the street to the Isaac Meier House. Enjoy a sheep-to-shawl demonstration. See the famous Miss Puss. Shop for some fun items you won’t find anywhere else, including craft items for the Annual County Fair. And yes, you can enjoy homemade food, baked goods and ice cream.
What a year indeed! And we haven’t even told you about the big Holiday Parade on November 24th!
This may be a good time to take a break. But we can’t. The Sestercentennial is just too much fun!!
