SCORE: Leading and Managing Change in a Small Business

SCORE: Leading and Managing Change in a Small Business
Mark Zuckerberg once said “In a world that's changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks,” and he was right. Leadership is not a static endeavor. Successful managers not only acknowledge the need for business development but also are willing and able to navigate their team through change.  In this roundtable we will discuss:

· Change is an existential reality / Change or die
· The importance of clearly defining the end goal and why the change is required
· The value of setting measurable interim progress objectives
· Identifying key players (advocates and saboteurs)
· Delegate and hold people accountable
· Change is slow and uneven.  People in you organization adopt change at different rates
· Leading change takes energy
· The change announcement is just the beginning.  A lot of listening required after the announcement.

The Speaker / Facilitator
After completing a thirty-four year career as a key educator in both the private and public sectors, Marianne Bartley, Ed.D., of Lebanon, PA, has established a business called Time To Think, LLC.

Marianne provides speaking, coaching, training and leadership development services to corporations, community groups, schools, and individuals.

SCORE Roundtable: Pricing Strategies that Work

SCORE Roundtable: Pricing Strategies that Work

Join SCORE for a session on Pricing Strategies!

One of the many mistakes many make in marketing is looking at pricing as an analytical exercise.  Often pricing strategies are decided by creating a spreadsheet of competitors, what they charge and what is included in that charge.  Another sheet is developed listing the costs of producing a product and service.  Between these competitor prices (top) and cost data (bottom), a final price is determined.  While these data points are helpful, the truth is:

People buy emotionally and justify intellectually.

This roundtable will focus on pricing on value and the 5 C's of pricing.
