Understanding Your Heart Disease Risk

Understanding Your Heart Disease Risk

February is American Heart Month. Coronary artery disease is the number one killer of both men and women in the United States – impacting families, communities, and businesses. Job stress can increase the risk of coronary heart disease. According to the American Heart Association, employees with cardiovascular disease:

  • Lost 56 hours more per year in productivity
  • Cost $1,119 more per year in insurance
  • Contributes to an average of 13 lost workdays per year per patient

What can you do to prevent heart disease and detect it early? Join Jason Stuck, MD, cardiologist with UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute for a webinar on understanding your heart disease risk on Tuesday, February 16 at noon. Dr. Stuck will be discussing the prevention of coronary artery disease and coronary calcium score screening – a tool to look for early stages of coronary artery disease.

This event is free and open to the public. Thanks to   for providing this great workshop.
